What is hypnotherapy?

Hypnotherapy uses the tools of hypnosis to help you reach a dream or trance-like state of deep relaxation.

This helps you to access your unconscious mind and uncover patterns of behaviours and thoughts that you are unaware of.

By identifying buried patterns, we can help you move forward.

​This trance-like state is similar to being completely absorbed in a book, movie, music, or even one's own thoughts. For example, when you suddenly arrive at your destination and you can’t remember the drive, or it’s time to get off the train and you can’t remember going through some of the stations. These are all examples of hypnotic trance that you experience in your everyday life.

In this state, the conscious mind is in neutral and the sub-conscious mind is revealed so that solutions can be found.

What can you expect from hypnotherapy?

Hypnotherapy allows you to turn your attention completely inward to find the resources deep within yourself that will help you to improve or regain control of the areas of your life you'd like to change.

The great thing about hypnotherapy is that you don’t need to know much about it, or even believe in it, for hypnotherapy to work. You do, however, need to be open to the hypnotherapy process.

Will you lose control when hypnotised?

A common misconception is that when hypnotised you are under the power of the hypnotherapist and you do not have control.

​You are always in total control of the process. Hypnotherapy should never be confused with stage hypnosis that you may have seen. Stage hypnotism is essentially a theatrical performance and has as much in common with clinical hypnosis as many Hollywood movies have with real life.

​In clinical hypnotherapy, Mind Changes will simply guide your mind so that you can make the changes that you need.

What is NLP?

Neurolinguistic Programming (NLP) is based on the realisation that we create our own experience of the world by the way we think about it. ​

So when you have a problem, your mind takes a well-worn approach to solving it, based on your previous experiences. Each person sees, feels and hears their problem in their own way.

How does the AutoImmune Protocol work?

The AutoImmune Protocol is a scientifically supported, nutritionally dense elimination and reintroduction diet. ​

It’s specifically designed to reduce inflammation and the symptoms of autoimmune disease.

What is EFT tapping? ​

Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT), or EFT tapping, is a simple but powerful tool that can reduce the symptoms of anxiety, depression, PTSD and other stress-related conditions by tapping on pressure points. EFT tapping is often referred to as psychological acupuncture. Clinical trials have shown that EFT is able to rapidly reduce the emotional impact of memories and incidents that trigger emotional distress. EFT has an immediate calming effect and can be used by children as young as 3 years old. Although surprisingly simple in technique and easily learned by both adults and children, it is a proven tool that can be incorporated into daily life and provides fast and extremely effective relief. It is formally recognised by a number of bodies worldwide and there is an increasing pool of research that shows EFT tapping can provide results considerably faster than more traditional therapies.
